Mel is an independent consultant for the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) who supports the work of the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance’s Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification Track and the Transition Financing Track. Previously, she worked in equity research, consumer goods sector analysis, green and sustainability origination, and climate risk integration for private credit.

She holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) in New York and a B. Bus. in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She is a CFA Charterholder.

Stephen Voller is the founder and CEO of Hydrogen Refinery. He is a Chartered Engineer with a track record of taking technology from concept to market. He is a recognised authority on green hydrogen, ammonia, fuel cells, renewable energy systems, energy storage technologies, batteries, and supercapacitors. He is the author of 100+ patents and inventor of Carbon-Ion that uses nanomaterials such as graphene with ionic electrolytes to improve the performance of supercapacitors.

He holds a Master's degree in Naval Engineering from the University of São Paulo. He has experience as a budget analyst at Banco Itaú and Unibanco, a consultant for Petrobras (offshore wind energy), UNDP-UN (business process modeling), WHO-UN (occupational health in renewable energy projects), and a researcher at the University of São Paulo, SINTEF Norway, Uni-Kassel Germany, and Singularity University - NASA USA. Strategist and speaker: PESTEL risk specialist and advocate (blueprints) for innovation and intensive technological ventures, including enabling technologies. Consultant in strategy, development, and business models for projects focused on the bioeconomy: offshore wind energy, biomass, first, second, and third generation solid and liquid renewable biofuels, waste-derived fuels, green hydrogen, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
